She combines extraordinary skills on trumpet and trombone with vaudeville stunts, like playing three trumpets at once. She’ll be joined by Idun Carling (vocals, trombone), Jason Bellenkes (sax), Rebecca Roudman (cello), Benito Cortez (violin), Neil Fontano (piano), Adam Kubota (bass), and Pete Devine (drums).

The Bobby Young Project is a group of musicians whose objective is to create music that touches the heart and soul. Made up of musicians who have worked together in various bands for nearly 50 years, this Oakland based band officially formed in 1997. This evening’s show will pay tribute to their original vocalist, who passed about a month ago, Wylie Trass.

Natalie Cressman & Ian Faquini
Trombonist and singer/songwriter Natalie Cressman and Brazilian composer, guitarist, and singer Ian Faquini present a uniquely intimate collaboration, drawing from impressionism, jazz, and the great Brazilian songwriting tradition. With the warm instrumentation of acoustic guitar and trombone and two-part vocal harmonies hugging the Brazilian-accented Portuguese, Cressman & Faquini weave their musical voices together to create a fully orchestrated sound befitting a much larger ensemble.

Sullivan Fortner and Kyle Athayde
Grammy award winning pianist Sullivan Fortner and Bay Area native and multi-instrumentalist Kyle Athayde return to the piano store for another duo performance, a year after their first appearance. El Vucko Latin Quartet
El Vucko – Larry Vuckovich’s Latin Quartet – presents an in-depth program of Latin music, covering important historic locations such as Cuba, Central America, and Mexico. Pianist Larry Vuckovich has had the fortune of being connected and having performed with some of the great Latin percussionists and musicians, like Jose Mangual, Pete Escovedo, John Santos, and Louis Romero, to name a few. Larry, “El Vucko,” will present music from his wide-ranging repertoire of classic Latin compositions, joined by guitarist Kai Lyons, bassist Buca Necak, and Latin percussionist Javier Navarette.

Macy Blackman and the Mighty Fines
Join Macy Blackman and the Mighty Fines as they offer up their “best of the last 14 years.” They will play music from their 4 albums, plus more that has sneaked through so far but will be recorded. The band has always specialized in New Orleans-style rhythm and blues from the 1950’s and 60’s, and have recently added some traditional New Orleans jazz to the mix, like King Oliver and Fats Domino
Steve Lucky & the Rhumba Bums, ft. Miss Carmen Getit
Steve Lucky & Miss Carmen Getit, the bandleaders of the Rhumba Bums, bring their six-piece band together for the first time since the pandemic started. Playing vintage rhythm & blues, jazz, swing, and boogie woogie, the Rhumba Bums are renowned for their high-energy, highly entertaining show. "The Rhumba Bums abide by Cab Calloway's advice: 'Live what's in your soul and sing your friggin' heart out’" (Downbeat Magazine)

Jinx Jones
Bay area guitar virtuoso Jinx Jones brings his all-star jazz trio for a one-time-only live streaming event. This special event celebrates the instrumental stylings of artists like Grant Green, Wes Montgomery, Kenny Burrell, and Charlie Christian. Jinx will also give a sneak preview of songs from his upcoming jazz guitar album Blue Gardenia. Accompanying Jinx will be super-star bassist Angeline Saris and Legendary drummer Ken Owen.

Tony Lindsay, former lead singer with Santana, John R Burr, keyboardist with Maria Muldar, and Tom Politzer, saxophonist with Tower of Power, present an evening of jazz, blues, R&B, and original music.

Omar Sosa & Friends
Omar Sosa returns to the Bay Area this month for a second live stream from the piano store. For the occasion, Omar has assembled a unique group of players, including Moroccan vocalist / violinist Bouchaib Abdelhadi, Peruvian percussionist Juan Medrano Cotito, and American acoustic bass player Geoff Brennan. In addition, the ensemble will be joined for a special guest appearance by traditional Peruvian dancer Pierr Padilla Vasquez. Omar has written several new pieces to be premiered during the livestream. The performance will be a mix of Solo Piano, Duo, Trio and Quartet arrangements.

This trio of Rio de Janeiro expatriates and current Bay Area residents reunites guitarist Ricardo Peixoto with long time collaborators vocalist Claudia Villela and pianist Marcos Silva. The concert will feature original music from their many recordings, as well as recent compositions and Brazilian classics. Their music draws from the best of Brazilian music combined with the spontaneity and creativity of jazz.

His top-shelf band features June Core (drums), Vance Ehlers (bass) and Rome Yamilov (guitar).

Lydia Pense
Lydia Pense & Cold Blood debuted when the historic Fillmore was at its peak, and owner Bill Graham immediately signed them to his new record label. During the span of six albums, they forged their own specific brand of funk/soul and R&B, along with Tower Of Power, and it became known as East Bay Grease. Lydia will be accompanied by members of Cold Blood – Steve Dunne on guitar, Evan Palmerston on bass, T Moran on drums, Rich Armstrong on trumpet, and Steve Salinas on keys. They’ll play Lydia’s signature songs as well as new music from their recent release, Soul Of The Gypsy.
