Jules Leyhe is an Oakland-based blues guitarist specializing in slide guitar. He leads the Family Jules Band which includes Nancy Wright on saxophone, Ian McArdle on keyboards and bass, and Isaac Schwartz on drums. Improvisation is at the core of this band’s soul, always taking advantage of each bandmate’s playful ears and pushing each other’s abilities to the edge seeking a new sound over traditional styles of music like blues and soul. The band has just finished up recording a new record Your First Rodeo that is due out by late spring, with plans on touring as soon as life permits!
