We offer rental space for practicing, rehearsing, and teaching. It is expected and appreciated that all renters (and students) abide by the honor system and respect the space.
SCHEDULING
Scheduling requests should be submitted before the use of any room via email or phone. All requests are secured with prepayment. If changes are needed, please give at least 24 hours advance notice.
PAYMENT
Payments must be submitted before the use of any room. Fees may be paid online with credit card or bank transfer. You may also pay with cash or check made payable to Piedmont Piano Company. For regular weekly/monthly rentals, fees are due no later than the first rental day within the month. Any delayed payments or late cancellation notice may incur a fee.
USE OF ROOMS
All renters must use a room ONLY during confirmed and paid times. No food or drink is permitted under any circumstances, except for plain water in a spill-proof container. This applies to all users of all rooms and the waiting area. Water containers, backpacks, instrument cases, or the like, should NEVER be placed on the pianos. Please respect the space and the instruments. If you need to move a piano for any reason, you must return the room to its original configuration before you leave.
COVID-19 Protocols:
1) We are no longer requiring proof of vaccination.
2) Masking is encouraged, but no longer required.
3) If you are not feeling well, please do not come into The Studios.
ENTRY & EXIT
Our regular business hours are Mon - Fri 10am - 6pm, Sat 10am - 5pm, and Sun 12pm - 5pm, which may vary at short notice. During regular business hours, you may enter through the front door on San Pablo Ave. If you have paid for after-hours access, you may use the entrance on 18th Street. If the door leading down from The Studios to the piano store is closed, it can be opened by pushing the red button to the right of the door, in case of emergency. Outside of regular business hours, the piano store alarm will sound and the police will be called.
KEYS & ALARM CODES
A non-refundable one-time $25 fee is required for after-hours access. You will be given a key and alarm code. For the safety and security of all users, your key and code must NOT be copied, shared, or used outside of agreed rental times. Before you turn on the alarm, you MUST first double check to make sure you are the last person at The Studios. NOTE: You must be prepared with your code at all times. This alarm code is specific to you and only works for the upstairs system, not for the downstairs piano store system. If the alarm goes off due to your error, you may be charged. If you lose your key, you will be charged $25 for a replacement.
