While touring the US with his trio, Bokani Dyer goes rogue for a solo ritual—exclusively at Piedmont Piano Company. He resurrects reimagined album works, unleashes unheard material, and twists beloved covers into strange new shapes. Armed with piano and voice alone, he builds sonic universes from silence, then deconstructs them to breathtaking void. Rooted in African rhythmic tradition, expect infectious groove, daring melodic exploration, and virtuosic innovation. No two performances are ever the same—this night belongs entirely to Dyer and the room.
The trio featuring Art Lande (piano), Günter Wehinger (flute), and Tim Wendel (guitar) masterfully explores improvisation, composition, and subtle interaction, pulling from jazz, modern classical, and world music without residing in any identity for too long. Art and Tim have played in many groups together, while Günter and Art have played together since the 1980s. Beauty, mystery, and surprises are in store for all who are present.
GRAMMY-nominated pianist and composer Joey Alexander makes his debut at the piano store to share his newest album Celestial Keeper (July 2026, Mack Avenue Records). He reflects on creativity, faith, gratitude, and personal transformation, exploring the challenge of overcoming doubt and artist’s block.
Bay Area pianist Steven Chanan has been a sought-after accompanist and party pianist for decades and we are proud to host his long-awaited return to the solo piano stage after a 23-year absence. The program will feature works by the jazz/classical hybrid composer Nikolai Kapustin, rags by Scott Joplin and William Bolcom, and classical favorites by Bach, Chopin, Debussy and others, and will culminate with a rousing solo rendition of George Gershwin’s popular favorite Rhapsody in Blue.
Experience Brandon Goldberg at the piano in an intimate solo setting, where spontaneity and imagination take center stage. Drawing from the Great American Songbook and jazz standards, Goldberg brings his distinctive voice, lyrical touch, and boundless creativity to familiar melodies, reinventing them in the moment. Following acclaimed solo appearances including the Rochester International Jazz Festival and the Miami International Piano Festival, Goldberg invites audiences into an afternoon of discovery, virtuosity, and inspired improvisation.
Grammy-winning baritone, and former lead vocalist with the legendary Count Basie Orchestra, Jamie Davis will be performing music from his highly anticipated new album "Steppin' Out," as well as many of your favorites.
