Verónica Freidkes
Verónica Freidkes is a vocalist and voice teacher in the San Francisco Bay Area, specializing in Tango, Jazz, Bossa Nova, and Latin rhythms. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, she began her musical journey in a children’s choir, later studying piano and taking private voice lessons for over a decade before continuing to refine her technique with other teachers.
For voice lessons, Verónica teaches using the principles of Somatic Voice™ as she currently understands them, having completed all levels of master vocal pedagogue Jeannette LoVetri's Somatic Voicework™, a functional, body-based approach to vocal training. She offers private lessons tailored to each student’s goals and voice, integrating healthy technique, repertoire, style, and improvisation within a supportive, mindful space. With over fifteen years of teaching experience, a career as a performer and Cantor, and a background in psychotherapy, she brings a holistic perspective to her teaching, helping students cultivate healthy vocal habits while connecting deeply with their musical expression.
