American jazz and cabaret singer Paula West makes her Piano store debut, with Adam Shulman (piano), Aaron Germain (bass), and Leon Joyce, Jr. (drums). Paula is known for her rich, powerful contralto voice and for her highly nuanced interpretations of an extraordinarily eclectic selection of songs that range from the Great American songbook to reinterpretations of songs by artists such as Bob Dylan, David Bowie, Lou Reed and Johnny Cash. Marcos Silva Quartet
For the past three decades, Rio-born multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, and educator Marcos Silva has poured his energy into spreading the gospel of Brazilian music, playing an inordinate role in the San Francisco Bay Area’s emergence as a verdant outpost of Brazilian jazz. In 2019, he released his first new album in 30 years, Brasil From Head to Toe, featuring his own compositions. He’ll be joined by a couple of the musicians on the album, Mauricio Zotterelli (drums) and Gary Meek (sax & flute), as well as Richard Lindsey (bass).

Akira Tana and Otonowa
Otonowa, led by Akira Tana, was founded in 2013 to tour and raise funds for the communities devastated by the earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan in 2011. The project pays homage to the victims of the natural disaster by presenting traditional and pop Japanese songs that Tana and Otonowa completely transform into modern American jazz instrumentals. Otonowa is Akira Tana (leader/drums), Masaru Koga (reeds and shakuhachi), Art Hirahara (piano), Ken Okada (bass), and special guest artist Jimi Nakagawa (taiko).
