GRAMMY® Award-winning pianist Taylor Eigsti returns to the piano store for the holiday season, this time with a brand new duo project featuring the brilliant Nashville-based vocalist Erin Bode. This special program will include brand new co-written selections from their current collaboration, along with everything from jazz standards to pieces to celebrate the Holiday Season.

TAYLOR EIGSTI
GRAMMY® Award-winning pianist and composer Taylor Eigsti started playing the piano when he was four years old. Growing up in Menlo Park, CA, Eigsti was quickly labeled a prodigy, and has since released 8 albums as a bandleader, in addition to appearing on over 60 albums as a sideman. Eigsti recently won a 2022 GRAMMY® Award for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album for his most recent album Tree Falls, released in 2021 on GSI Records. In addition to this recent honor, Eigsti has garnered 3 individual GRAMMY® nominations over the years for his work as a recording artist and composer, including Best Instrumental Composition, and Best Jazz Instrumental Solo.
Eigsti has performed, toured, or recorded with such luminaries as Dave Brubeck, Sting, Joshua Redman, Lisa Fischer, Joshua Bell, Esperanza Spalding, Chris Botti, John Mayer, Vanessa Williams, McCoy Tyner, Chick Corea, Snarky Puppy, Christian McBride, Kurt Rosenwinkel, and Dianne Reeves, among many others, and is a regular touring member of Terence Blanchard’s E-Collective.
Eigsti has travelled extensively over the years both as a sideman and with his trio and quartet, performing at such venues as Carnegie Hall, Hollywood Bowl, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and many top festivals throughout the world throughout six continents.
ERIN BODE
In the nearly two decades since Erin Bode began her professional recording career, she has garnered much critical praise for her pure voice, phrasing and style. Bode has appeared on various national broadcasts including CBS’s Saturday Morning Show and Garrison Keillor’s A Prairie Home Companion.
A Minnesota native, Bode was first introduced to music by her parents, who emphasized music in daily life. She studied music as well as foreign languages at the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities and graduated from Webster University in St. Louis.
To date, Bode has released nine albums and has toured throughout the world with her music. Her recorded works run the gamut between standard jazz and more contemporary pieces. 2008’s Little Garden and 2010’s Photograph feature all original material by Bode, and showcase her love of poetry with songs that are rich in harmonic and timbral texture.
Erin’s latest project, YourSong is a collaboration between her listeners and herself in which she curates personalized compositions for their occasions or inspirations. These songs are given as gifts, kept as keepsakes and have become some of the most rewarding experiences of Erin’s life and career.
