Through richly composed works, Leberta Lorál honors their full range and dramatic sweep. With both virtuosity and intimate storytelling, she explores the breadth of a woman’s emotional experience, from desire and romance to maternal love and loss.  Lorál is joined by pianists Tammy L. Hall and Daniel Lockert.

LEBERTA LORÁL
Leberta Lorál’s clarion voice blends mezzo warmth with soprano clarity, delivering performances that are both technically assured and deeply felt. A distinguished concert and operatic soloist, she has appeared at the Mendocino Music Festival, Hollywood Bowl with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Fillmore Jazz Festival, Monterey Jazz Festival, Longmont Symphony, Festival Opera, Sydney Opera House, Santa Cruz Opera Projects, Grace Cathedral, Blue Note Jazz Napa, African‑American Art Song Alliance, Monterey County Composers Forum, and the National Women’s Music Festival. 

A regional winner of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, Leberta expands her repertoire to include Duke Ellington’s Sacred Concerts, honoring the legacy of Jessye Norman while bringing fresh interpretive insight. Her work spans art song, opera, jazz, and contemporary music, characterized by impeccable technique, expressive nuance, and compelling stage presence.

TAMMY HALL
Tammy L. Hall is a Grammy-recognized, award winning pianist/composer/educator/collaborator/musical director who’s career spans some 40+ years. Hall has worked with a wide array of vocalists and instrumentalists, including the late Etta Jones, Ernestine Anderson and Mary Wilson; Melba Moore, Ms. Loretta Devine, Leberta Lorál, Susanne Mintzer, Marcus Shelby,Terri Lyne Carrington, Regina Carter, Houston Person, Dr. Kim Nalley, Laurie Anderson, Gerald Clayton, Mads Tolling, Linda Tillery, Leberta Lorál, Vicki Randle, Holly Near, Barbara Dane, Mimi Fox and Allison Miller. Highlights of 2024 include composing original music for the podcast Red 4 Revolution, written by Jana Smith and Renée Wilson, which won teobAmbie Awards this year for best Indie Audio Fiction and Best Script, as well as the award for a Best Independent Audio Fiction at the Tribeca Film and Audio Festival in April 2024 and receiving the Arts Council for Monterey County’s Champions of the Arts award in August 2024 and she is a proud resident of Seaside since 2021. tammyhall.com

DANIEL LOCKERT
Daniel Lockert is a multi-talented pianist/collaborator, organist, and harpsichordist.  In his role as pianist/collaborator, his wide-ranging career has taken him around globe, playing throughout the United States, Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.  Daniel was honored as the only American finalist in the first international Accompanying Competition, held in Den Haag, the Netherlands.  He has performed with many notable singers past and present of the Metropolitan Opera, including Deborah Voigt. In his role and coach and teacher, he has been several faculties including the Julliard School, the San Francisco Conservatory, Chapman University, Cal State University East Bay, Notre Dame de Namur University, Holy Names University, Mills College and Santa Clara University.  He has also served on the coaching staff of the San Francisco Opera, Opera San Jose and the Aspen Music Festival.  Presently, he is bass section leader and assistant organist at First Congregational church of Palo Alto and pianist/organist at Temple Isaiah in Lafayette, CA.
