Jazz icon Michael O'Neill teams up with the lead vocalist from Santana, Tony Lindsay, and Latin Grammy winner Omar Ledezma, along with John R. Burr (piano), Dan Feiszli (bass), Jason Lewis (drums), and Erik Jekabson (trumpet) to play Latin arrangements of tunes by Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Al Jarreau, Bill Withers, and some standards based on arrangements by the members of the band. Each member of this stellar band has contributed their vision to the music, making this very much a collaborative effort.
TONY LINDSAY
After 25 years as the lead vocalist for Santana, Tony Lindsay has garnered 11 Grammy awards, traveled on several world tours and recorded on seven CDs: Milagro (1992), Supernatural (1999), Shaman (2002), Ceremony (2003) and Food for Thought (2004), Ultimate Santana (2007) and Multi-Dimensional Warrior (2008). Their current tour involves Santana's First Rock Residency: an exclusive two-year deal for 36 shows with AEG at the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel and Casino's concert hall "The Joint," which began May 27, 2009. When not on tour with Santana, Lindsay performs at various local venues and festivals. Tony has become a regular performer for The Golden State Warriors(NBA), The Santa Cruz Warriors (G league NBA), The San Francisco 49ers, The San Francisco Giants and The San Jose Sharks, singing The National Anthem. tonylindsay.com
MICHAEL O’NEILL
Michael leads several jazz groups in the Bay Area. He has always enjoyed working with great vocalists. One of his recent albums, Pacific Standard Time, featured singer Tony Lindsay, who gained fame working with Santana from 1995 to 2020. O’Neill’s first three albums featured the world-renowned Bay Area vocalist Kenny Washington. Their partnership spans over 20 years, and the two have performed together in many notable venues including headlining the San Jose, Mid- Atlantic and Monterey Jazz Festivals. He has played and/or recorded with Idris Muhammad, Joe Locke, Geoffrey Keezer, Michael Wolff, Rodney Jones, Kenny Washington, Jackie Ryan, Tony Lindsay, Akira Tana, Michael Bluestein, Nicolas Bearde, Smith Dobson Sr., and many others. mosax.com
