Join NYC-based pianist-composer Mathis Picard in celebrating Live at the Museum, his celebrated sophomore release and debut solo album recorded in January 2019 at the National Jazz Museum in Harlem. Through Picard's own refined curatorial lens, the music of this album honors the works of the great classical and jazz composers that were influential to Picard's personal musical journey with daring and evocative interpretations of classic pieces, and an impressive array of original compositions.

Based in New York City and from France & Madagascar, Mathis Picard was named a “rising star” by The Scotsmen paper at age 10. Mathis is an ASCAP Next Generation of Songwriters Recipient, a member of the Montreux Jazz Foundation, and a Juilliard Alumni under the mentorship of Kenny Barron. Deemed as “one to watch” by Jazzwise Magazine, Mathis tours as a solo pianist, playing solo sets for NY Fashion Week, Little Island, Umbria Jazz Festival, and is featured on several records. His latest solo release “Live At The Museum” was released under critical acclaim in January 2022. As a bandleader, Mathis’ large ensemble,“The Sound Orchestra '' has performed on both coasts of America. Their debut genre-bending EP “World Unity” came out in 2020 in Outside In Music Records which put him on the map as “a fascinating name to follow in any context” (All About Jazz).
