Adam Kubota

Adam Kubota is a regular performer with Postmodern Jukebox and the Hot Sardines. A versatile bassist, he has been fortunate to perform and record with a diverse selection of great artists. This evening, Adam will bring together a small ensemble of instrumentalists for an informal presentation of music works drawn from the Great American Songbook and jazz repertoire. Adam will be joined by Adam Shulman (piano) and Martin Diller (drums).

Adam Kubota hails from the San Francisco Bay Area and studied at Connecticut’s Hartt School of Music. He is the regular bass player for Postmodern Jukebox. The ensemble features many of the performers who appear on Postmodern Jukebox’s YouTube and in their live shows. A versatile bassist, he has been fortunate to perform and record with a diverse selection of great artists including: Anthony Braxton, Dave Koz, Puddles the Clown, Wayne Brady, Haley Reinhart, Blake Lewis, Melinda Doolittle, Shoshana Bean, Gunhild Carling, Aubrey Logan and many more. 

He has toured all over the world including North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and Africa, hitting such stages as the Kennedy Center, Radio City Music Hall, the Sydney Opera House, London’s Roundhouse, l’Olympia in Paris, the Greek Theater in Los Angeles, and the Ryman Theater in Nashville.

Adam owns the company Redux Booking, which has booked bands for Chef Geoffrey Zakarian’s restaurant near Times Square and for Demetria Lucas’ wedding, which aired on Bravo’s Blood Sweat & Heels. An avid outdoorsman, Adam’s run two marathons and backpacked in Patagonia. He also earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree at Brooklyn Law School.
