Mark Hummel and Bob Welsh have been performing off and on together close to twenty years now. Their new duo format allows them to showcase their gifts, Hummel as a world renowned Harmonica man/blues singer and Bob Welsh as a guitarist and piano virtuoso. This will be their second duo gig online, the first one in June on Facebook’s “Can’t Stop The Blues” before an audience of ten thousand!

Mark Hummel started playing harmonica in 1970 and is considered one of the premier blues harmonica players of his generation. Thanks to over thirty recordings since 1985, including the Grammy nominated 2013 release Blind Pig recording Remembering Little Walter (part of the Blues Harmonica Blowout CD series). Bob Welsh is a guitar & piano virtuoso. Welsh was born in Covington, LA outside of New Orleans and lived there through college, before settling in San Jose, CA. He currently has been Elvin Bishop’s sidekick in the Big Bob Welsh as a guitarist & piano virtuoso. Bob currently has been Elvin Bishop’s sidekick in the Big Fun Trio, but spent eight years prior in Elvin’s band as guitarist. Prior to that Welsh has played w/Charlie Musselwhite for five years, Kim Wilson, Rusty Zinn, Jr Watson, Kid Anderson, Hummel and many more. He’s also done most of Hummel’s Harmonica Blowouts since 2002Fun Trio, but spent eight years prior in Elvin’s band as guitarist. Prior to that Welsh has played and recorded w/Charlie Musselwhite for five years, Kim Wilson, Rusty Zinn, Roy Gaines, Jr Watson, Kid Anderson, Hummel and many more. He’s also done most of Hummel’s Harmonica Blowouts since 2002.
