We are pleased to welcome Luca Fazioli, Fazioli piano Brand and Factory Project Manager, and son of founder Paolo Fazioli. Join us for a glass of wine and see a presentation on the latest from the Fazioli company in Sacile, Italy, followed by a special solo piano performance by Luca’s wife, the internationally acclaimed concert pianist Rachel Naomi Kudo.

The Fazioli Company has produced grand and concert-grand pianos since 1981, when the company was founded by pianist and engineer Paolo Fazioli. Each instrument is individually handcrafted combining high quality materials with the finest workmanship and technology.

The Fazioli factory is located in Sacile, 60 Km (35 miles) northeast of Venice in the northeastern part of Italy. The area is renowned for an ancient and prestigious tradition in woodworking.

First prize winner of the XXI International Johann Sebastian Bach Leipzig Competition, American pianist RACHEL NAOMI KUDO has been captivating audiences around the globe with her "stunning virtuosity" and "miracle of flawless technique and expressive versatility" as recitalist, soloist, and chamber musician.

Since making her orchestral debut with the Fort Worth and Chicago Symphony Orchestras, Rachel has performed at the Fazioli Hall in Italy, the Royal Castle in Poland, Salle Cortot in Paris, Musikverein in Vienna, Tel Aviv Museum of Art in Israel, Tivoli International Festival in Denmark, Bergen International Festival in Norway, and Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall in New York.

Rachel is winner of a Gilmore Young Artist Award, was named a Davidson Fellow Laureate by the Davidson Institute of Talent Development, and was a three-time recipient of the Rohm Music Foundation Scholarship in Japan. She has been invited to Carnegie Hall's Professional Training Workshops, working with pianists Emanuel Ax and Sir Andras Schiff, and is a graduate of the Juilliard School.

Born in Washington D.C. to Japanese-Korean parents, Rachel began studying piano at the age of four with Emilio del Rosario at the Music Institute of Chicago. She works with Leon Fleisher, and has studied with Yoheved Kaplinsky, Joseph Kalichstein, Richard Goode, Gilbert Kalish, and Kum-Sing Lee.

Rachel divides her time between New York City and Venice, Italy.
