Yoron Israel and his cutting-edge jazz ensemble High Standards have graced stages all over the world. Celebrated for forging elite standards in jazz performance since their formation in 2004, their original works and creative arrangements speak to the 21st century influences and beyond. The four virtuosic musicians will forge a road untraveled in imagination, mesmerizing audiences from their very first note. Featuring Yoron Israel (drums, leader, composer), Mike Zilber (tenor & soprano saxophone), Matt Clark (piano), and Jeff Chambers (bass).

The bandleader; renowned percussion master Yoron Israel leads four other noted ensembles, "Connection", “Organic”, "Yoron Israel/Frank Walton Sextet”, and “New Dreams", which are represented on his thirteen recordings as a leader and co-leader. As an accompanist Yoron’s brilliant musicianship is is featured on over 200 recordings, performing and touring over the span of the last thirty years with some of the most prolific jazz artists in history, including Sonny Rollins, Horace Silver, Abbey Lincoln, Ahmad Jamal, Art Farmer, Kenny Burrell, Jimmy Heath, Jim Hall, Pharaoh Sanders, Joe Lovano, Tom Harrell, James Williams, Roy Hargrove and Joshua Redman among numerous others.
As a highly regarded educator, Mr. Israel is Professor and Chair of Percussion at Berklee College of Music. He regularly presents engaging clinics, workshop and master classes throughout the world. His recent instructional DVD "Creative Improvisation for the Drumset" continues to inspire generations of players. He also serves as Pastor of Music and Arts at Destiny Life Center International Church with locations in Randolph and Boston MA.
