Wes Lisker was born in Oakland, grew up in Berkeley, and began playing piano at age 4, but had a hard time sitting still. His 6th grade teacher, Barbara Cohn (no relation to Wes's wife Abby), wrote,"He is apt to be restless, though, and 'wanders.'" After 52 years, he has settled down enough to study with David Olachea. He is a father of 3, and works full time as a specialist of an organ which uses as much blood per minute as the brain. He is involved with the Junior Bach Festival and encourages you to check out the videos on its website, juniorbach.org.
