Katy Stephan +
Iron Henry + Joel Chapman
Katy Stephan's voice has taken her from the stages of Europe to the studios of LA, but her heart led her back to San Francisco. She brought her formidable songwriting and piano skills back to the Bay "to make weird music with weird people." Iron Henry is happy to make her wish come true. Over the past few years Caitlin, Tim, and Tom have pooled their various musical backgrounds (classical, Eastern European folk, American folk, the 90's) to make songs about the important things in life (family, dogs, baseball, sleeping, the places they grew up.) Opening the evening will be singer-songwriter-comedian Joel Chapman. He focuses most of his songwriting energy on full-length musicals and regular YouTube performances, so a live performance should not be missed!

"When I was very small I spent many hours on the red swingset in my backyard making up songs (and swinging, of course). When I was a little bigger, I would ride my schwinn around and around my block, making up songs and singing them right out loud to nobody. Since then I have studied classical music, musical theatre, jazz. I have sung with a symphony orchestra and an Elvis impersonator; for film scores and children's toys, in cathedrals and saloons. But making up songs is still my favorite. And I am still singing them, right out loud, to anyone who will listen." katystephan.com
Mostly acoustic music from three people who like to sing together. Songs about sleeping, streets in the East Bay, and sounds we remember. Caitlin, Tim, and Tom. Iron Henry came together out of love for harmony. Drawing vocal inspiration from ancient music, sacred harp spirituals, pop, and more, their orchestrations could be described as quirky, folky, and eclectic. Simple songs which strive to cut through your heart-bands. ironhenry.bandcamp.com
