Jeff Weinmann’s diverse musical path has taken him from his rock n’ roll roots, playing drums at age 13 in the renowned (at least within Willard Jr. High) Cadillac Kids, to classical singing. He earned a degree in vocal performance from The New England Conservatory, while simultaneously studying with legendary jazz drummer Alan Dawson. Jeff has recorded with Brazilian singer Ivson Lins, and the South African group Lutsinga Musical Ensemble. He’s currently a member of the Last World Ensemble, The Montclair Flutes and Alma Matters.

Hugo Wainzinger is a composer, guitarist, and arranger. Born in Argentina, he was exposed to a wide variety of music since childhood. He absorbed many musical styles, making him uncommonly versatile as an arranger, largely through the influence of his mother, a passionate bolero singer. A prolific composer as well as a wide-ranging performer, he spans the spectrum from classical to jazz to contemporary and world music. Frequently performing as a soloist, he also plays with both Latin and American artists at various Bay Area venues and festivals including the San Francisco Jazz Festival. In addition to his active career as a composer and performer, he engineers and produces recording projects at HeartStrings Studio in Mountain View, California. hugowainzinger.com

Shanna Carlson has been singing and playing in and around the SF Bay Area in big bands or small combos at concerts, jazz festivals, recordings, musicals and radio and TV. She's been a part of Jazz Camp West as an accompanist and sometimes teacher for 15 yrs. She has a strong sense of swing and sounds like a mix of Rosemary Clooney and Ernestine Anderson. She loves playing and singing the Great American Songbook or pop tunes with her own “twist.” shannacarlson.net

Karen Horner is an established musician and bassist, possessing two degrees in doublebass performance. After making a living working in regional orchestras, she returned to school to earn her California teaching credential in music. Currently she holds a full-time position in Hayward public schools teaching vocal and instrumental music, where she utilizes the Kodaly concepts of music education. Karen plays bass, guitar and sings in a number of bands, including her own group. She has performed widely nationally and internationally and has recorded with symphony orchestras as well as in smaller group settings. She lives in Berkeley. karenhorner.com
