Next Level is a vocal ensemble encompassing a wide range of musical influences and backgrounds that seeks to find the balance between jazz, funk, pop, and R&B. Together, the four singers – Katie Campbell, Sharmila Guha, Fletcher Sheridan, and Matt Falker – have experience in songwriting, arranging, touring, session singing, choral singing, and teaching. Basically, Next Level runs the musical gamut! All the singers have collaborated in a number of musical contexts over the years and were inspired to venture out on their own after singing together on a recording project. They have performed at Oceanside Jazz Festival at MiraCosta College and various venues in Southern California. Next Level is the result of diverse and innovative musical minds coming together with a fantastic band to create a powerful musical experience.

Katie Campbell released her first solo CD, End of the Beginning, in 2011, produced and arranged by Next Level’s tenor, Fletcher Sheridan. She sang on Bobby McFerrin’s GRAMMY©-nominated VOCAbuLarieS, toured with Sheryl Crow, sung on a number of film scores, and in 2013 she will be heard singing on Universal’s Curious George. She was also the ‘swing’ in a cappella group Toxic Audio’s Off-Broadway show, and has performed throughout Europe, South Africa, and Korea as a performer/clinician. Katie has also studied acting and plays piano, and in May she will complete her M.A. in “Humanities” from Cal State Northridge. katiecampbellartist.com

Sharmila Guha frequently appears as a soloist and ensemble member in various musical settings, from classical to jazz to folk, and many in between. In 2008, she released her debut solo jazz album, If Music Be the Food of Love, featuring her own arrangements of standard and eclectic repertoire, like songs by Henry Purcell and The Cure. As a session musician, she has sung on several movie soundtracks, including Spiderman 3, Avatar, and a solo in the upcoming Gangster Squad. Sharmila is a current member of the Los Angeles Master Chorale and San Francsico-based Volti. A recent transplant to Oakland, Sharmila performs and teaches voice lessons in her native Los Angeles as well as the Bay Area. sharmilaguha.com

Fletcher Sheridan has been singing incessantly since he was 2. Thankfully he had the opportunity to turn this habit into a career. Since the age of 13, Fletcher has been singing professionally for TV shows like Family Guy and The Office, and movies like Avatar and The Lorax. He has also recorded with artists such as Michael Jackson, Randy Newman, and Bobby McFerrin for which he received a GRAMMY© nomination. He has been a member of the LA Master Chorale and the LA Chamber Singers, and is currently music director for the internationally acclaimed a cappella group M-Pact. An accomplished arranger, composer and producer, Fletcher revels in pushing the envelope and evolving his craft. fletchersheridan.com
