Our beautiful new home is located at the corner of 18th Street and San Pablo Avenue in Oakland's vibrant new Uptown Arts and Entertainment district. One of the city's main shopping districts in the early 20th century, the neighborhood has recently experienced an exciting rebirth with the opening of new housing, music venues, clubs, galleries, and restaurants, with more on the way. Uptown Park -Located just a block from our new home is this beautiful new park bounded by the Fox Theater on one side and the Uptown Apartments on the other.

The Oakland Ice Center - our immediate next door neighbor
offers public skating, skating lessons, figure skating, and hockey on two full rinks. Operated by Sharks Ice. website

Fox Court Apartments - our across-18th-street neighbor, just completed and renting Fall 2009. Developed by Resources for Community Development. website

Cathedral Building (left). This striking Gothic Revival tower was built in 1914 as banking and office space. Construction has just been completed converting it to full floor commercial and residential condominiums.

Marquee Lofts (right). Another newly completed renovation, this stately 1923 office building now houses ground floor retail and upper floor residential condominiums.
