Meet Paolo Fazioli, maker of the Fazioli piano, have a glass of wine and a snack, and try out the magnificent Fazioli grand pianos.

8pm:
Mr. Fazioli will give a presentation on the design and construction of the Fazioli piano, followed by a short recital by Allison Lovejoy on the Fazioli concert grand. Refreshments will be served. To learn more about the remarkable Fazioli piano, please visit our Fazioli page.

Performance by the OSA Jazz Band, the exciting young musicians who hail from the Oakland School for the Arts across the street. Refreshments!

6pm:
performance by Noteworthy, the humorous and talented a capella group from UC Berkeley

7:30pm:
Official Grand Opening ceremonies: pomp, circumstance, testimonials, etc.

8pm:
Solo piano performance by innovative jazz artist and longtime friend of Piedmont Piano Co. Art Lande. Art will be joined for a second set by his longtime collaborator saxophonist Bruce Williamson. Please stay after the performance to have a glass of wine and meet the artists.

the 1920s / 30s piano wizardry of Frederick Hodges with guest vocalist Ann Gibson

Classical recital by David Olachea: works of Beethoven, Liszt, Bach/Busoni, and Chopin

5:30pm:
Screening (additional screening at 8pm) of the film "Miracle in a Box, a piano reborn", 2009 documentary by Oscar winning filmaker John Korty exploring the restoration of a vintage
Steinway grand piano by Callahan Piano Service ("brother" business to Piedmont Piano Co.)
Q&A after the film with the filmmaker and John Callahan of Callahan Piano Service.

7pm:
Performance by young Chloe Ma and her mother, Regina Li (featured performers in the film).
Wine and hors d'oeuvres 7-8pm.

7:30pm:
Demonstration by David Stanwood (piano action designer featured in the film) of his latest invention, the “Stanwood Adjustable Leverage Action” installed in a 1896 Steinway Model C grand piano, newly restored by Callahan Piano Service.

8pm:
Second screening of "Miracle in a Box". Q&A after the film with John Korty and John Callahan.

Monster Concert: 12 pianos, 24 hands performance of Grainger's "Fantasy on Gershwin's Porgy & Bess" by the San Jose State University School of Music & Dance piano majors, under the direction of Dr. Gwendolyn Mok and Sharon Brook

7:30pm:
Solo performance by Grammy Award nominated jazz pianist Taylor Eigsti, with special guests. We are thrilled to present this brilliant young musician in an intimate setting, playing the incomparable Fazioli concert grand.
